Whether pterosaurs ([ˈterəsɔː(r)] n.翼龙) need parental care to learn flying.
Reading
Pros:
1. According to archaeological excavations, fossils of pterosaurs cubs or eggs are positioned with those of adults', which implies pterosaurs were gregarious animals and cubs were under parental care.
2. Fossil analysis shows that their wings are incomplete and chest muscles are not strong enough to support flying and thereby need parental care.
3. Pterosaurs are closely related to birds, and possibly have common ancestors, which implies pterosaurs have similar bio-behaviors with birds like parental care.
Listening
Cons:
1. Fossil positions do not necessarily mean it, and it might be displacement due to some certain natural causes like floods that washed the bones together.
2. Pterosaurs have developed with mature wings that enable them to fly after they are hatched without any parental care.
3. Pterosaurs are indeed closely related to birds. But not all birds need parental care to learn flying. This analogy is over simplified and unpersuavsive.
