1. The rules that the whole society today expects young people to follow and obey are too strict.
▼解题思路：
托福考题思路扩展的一个核心方法就是将“抽象问题具体化”，因此这里可以对rules进行拆分，即：主体段三段可以分别从社会要求年轻人在“学习上”、“职场上”、“家庭中”遵循的规范过于严格而展开。

2. Which do you think is the best way for a student to make friends? a. joining a sports team b. participating in community activities c. travelling.
▼解题思路：
这是“比较选优”型中“三选一”的试题，这种类型的试题在谋篇布局的过程中，最好选择一方面进行主要论证，同时兼顾其它未选的两项，具体的思路：
第一段：通过参加共同爱好的体育运动，增进彼此的了解，成为朋友；
第二段：通过参加体育活动学会如何团队合作，进而成为朋友；
第三段：参加社区活动和旅游也是交朋友的有效方式，但是参加体育活动交朋友更容易，且成本更低。

3. Young people today are less dependent on their parents for making decisions than they were in the past.
▼解题思路：
父母和孩子之间的关系是托福独立写作经常考查的话题，这里可以通过对decisions 进行拆分：
第一段：在选择自己专业的时候，年轻人并不像以前的同龄人一样依赖于家长。
第二段：在选择自己未来的职业的时候，年轻人并不像以前的同龄人一样依赖于家长。
第三段：在选择自己休闲娱乐方式的时候，年轻人并不像以前的同龄人一样依赖于家长。

5. People should take time to relax with hobbies or physical activities that are very different from what they do at work.
6. Your job has more effects on your happiness than your social life does.
